Review day #2

Today in Western Civilization, we went over the things we need to know about the "quest" we're taking tomorrow. We were supposed to do it today but we didn't for some reason.
So, we went over the exact same thing we went over yesterday which is:

.Egypt is split into Upper and Lower Egypt. 
.The difference is the elevation, not north and south.
.Upper Egypt is a mountainous area. It's also fertile and goes along the Nile.
Lower Egypt is long, flat piece of the Nile Delta. 
.The Delta empties into the Mediterranean Sea.
.Upper and Lower Egypt were unified under one pharaoh named Narmer c. 3100 B.C.
.The Egyptians believed in an afterlife (ka) and mummified the bodies of a dead person for their post-death journey.
.Every soul had to justify itself. 
.The soul was either sent to an after-world paradise or the mouth of a monster.
.Ancient Egyptian writing formed c. 3100 B.C. and was called Hieroglyphics.
.It was a mixture of both an older form of writing called pictograph which just used pictures to show events and their own kind of alphabet.
.The script was usually written in ink on papyrus.
.Papyrus is a precursor to paper made of mashed Nile reeds that are stored in scrolls.
.The scrolls of Ancient Egypt are the books of Ancient Egypt.
.Egyptian astronomers made a 12-month, 365-day calendar to make sense of the season cycle.

2-hour delay day

Today in Western Civilization we didn't really do much other than get a paper back and finish a worksheet we were supposed to finish because we had a 2-hour delay. So, I will also talk about some of my day after school. The worksheet we got back was homework and I got a 100% on it. Although, the homework was only 8 points. But a 100% is a 100%. We also finished a worksheet we did Tuesday where we were the judge of a case back in the time of Hammurabi's Code. Then, we found out what Hammurabi actually put as his punishment. A lot of them had to do with putting someone to death or cutting something off of their body like an ear or hand. We also took notes but we didn't have much time for that so I really didn't get anything down on paper. After school I had practice for baseball. First, we did a jog around both turf fields twice which I hated because I don't have good endurance. Other than that the team split into infield and outfield. I play in the infield. All w...

Today in Western Civ. we took more notes. Our test is tomorrow. I'm ready for it. It's not going to be hard. Only 50 questions. But, it's one of Mr. Schick's tests so it shouldn't be too hard. This is the end of my post for today.
