Work Day #1

Today in class, we had a sub. His name was Mr. Schick. I know he wasn't really a substitute teacher but he got a shave and looked really different. We worked on our presentation for one of the things that makes up the uniqueness of the Ancient Greek culture. Me and my partner, Will, are doing the Olympics. We videoed some events yesterday like the long jump and the javelin throw. To be completely and utterly honest, I'd rather just look up videos of the actual events in the Olympics because those athletes are doing it on a professional level and have more skill than 10 of me and 10 will combined. But if we have to videos the events ourselves to get a better grade, I'm reluctantly willing to do that.

This is the end of my post for today.

Day 6

Worksheet: Part A: 1.Inflation- A drastic drop in the value of money and a raise in price. 2. The Roman army was in disarray. 3. Diocletian tried to control the inflation rates and he doubled the size of the army. 4. Power moved east and away from Rome. The western Roman Empire survived, but the Eastern Roman Empire fell. 5. A chieftain of the Huns who led 100,00 soldiers into Rome and destroyed all of the Western Roman Empire. Attila and his soldiers destroyed 70 Roman cities and went on to destroy Constantinople but couldn't scale its walls to get in the city. Part B: The Roman army was in disarray. The hired mercenaries weren't loyal because of the little amount of money they were getting payed for fighting. This would make it hard for Rome to fend off its attackers which would lead t...

2-hour delay day

Today in Western Civilization we didn't really do much other than get a paper back and finish a worksheet we were supposed to finish because we had a 2-hour delay. So, I will also talk about some of my day after school. The worksheet we got back was homework and I got a 100% on it. Although, the homework was only 8 points. But a 100% is a 100%. We also finished a worksheet we did Tuesday where we were the judge of a case back in the time of Hammurabi's Code. Then, we found out what Hammurabi actually put as his punishment. A lot of them had to do with putting someone to death or cutting something off of their body like an ear or hand. We also took notes but we didn't have much time for that so I really didn't get anything down on paper. After school I had practice for baseball. First, we did a jog around both turf fields twice which I hated because I don't have good endurance. Other than that the team split into infield and outfield. I play in the infield. All w...

more studying

Today in Western Civ. we took more notes. Our test is tomorrow. I'm ready for it. It's not going to be hard. Only 50 questions. But, it's one of Mr. Schick's tests so it shouldn't be too hard. This is the end of my post for today.
