Last one

This is my last blog of the year. I thought this class was rather enjoyable. Mr. Schick was easy to listen to because he's not a kind of teacher to say a boing lecture. He'll go off-topic, speak his mind. It's even easier when you enjoy the subject as well, which I do. I think history, European history especially, is really interesting and fascinating. All of the things that have happened all this time ago is still being used and still can be seen today. Hundreds or thousands of years after something like the Pieta was originally made. Some of these things people still haven't been able to recreate these masterpieces yet even with the super advanced technology that we have pretty easy access to. It's just incredible. Mr. Schick makes it even easier to learn and enjoy learning about these things. I'm going to legitimately miss this class next year. Thank you Mr. Schick for this great class and second semester. This is the end of my blog.

Today

All we did in class today is review. That's it. That's all she wrote today. I mean I don't mind it or anything. It's an easy class day. This is the end of my post.

Today

We learned about Martin Luther. He wrote 95 objections of the Church known as "the 25 theses." The Church at the time was corrupt and the priests and monks were doing the exact things they told people not to do if they wanted to go to heaven like gambling and drinking too much. Mr. Schick apparently wanted to become a priest back in his high school days. He than learned that if you became a priest, you couldn't marry anyone which means you can't have kids. So he decided not to become a priest. This is the end of my post.

Today

I had a good day today. I don't care about the stress and all that. I had a good overall day and don't really feel like doing this. But I need to get a good grade. But yeah so this is my blog. I like Western Civ. and some other classes like Biology and Bible. Some of the kids are nuts but I don't care. This is the end of my post.

I don't know anymore.

I don't know what to do anymore. I'm never able to sit down for more than 10 seconds without being yelled at. I don't understand any of the stuff I learned in math, I'm not able to pay attention, My grades are falling because of this. I'm always running around and never get a chance to sit down and relax for more than a minute. And if I relax for too long, my Dad says, "All you do anymore is sit on that chair and play on your phone." which isn't true. My parents think I do MUCH less than I actually do. My life is extremely stressful and I just need a place to vent. I'm always worried about something. Sure I get to go to Florida and Coastal Carolina University to play baseball. That's awesome and one of the pros to being on US Elite. Trust me, I love baseball more than anyone, but if I say that, it feels like my dad doesn't believe me. He says he thinks the only reason I do workouts is for him. I do workouts for my self-benefit. To get bette...

test

Today in Western Civ. we took a test. it was easy. It was 50 questions but the were all either multiple choice or matching. I think I only got a few wrong so I probably only got an A. Mr. Schick's tests are easy. There's only a few questions that I wasn't 100% sure I knew the right answer and I didn't even study. This is the end of my post.

more studying

Today in Western Civ. we took more notes. Our test is tomorrow. I'm ready for it. It's not going to be hard. Only 50 questions. But, it's one of Mr. Schick's tests so it shouldn't be too hard. This is the end of my post for today.

Blog

Today in Western Civilization we did more studying. Mr. Schick Pushed the test back from tomorrow to Wednesday... I think. We didn't  do anything else. S I'll tell you what's going on in my life. Nothing out of the ordinary. Watch TV, do homework, relax, eat, and sleep. That's all I do now after school other than work out or hit or pitch. This is the end of my post for today.

Back in Action

Today in Western Civilization Mr. Schick finally returned from recovery from surgery. We went back to our normal class with the note-taking and all. Mr. Schick told us he was out because he was having surgery for a hernia. He didn't tall us where the hernia was, but I heard it was in his belly button. People were probably just joking around but you never know anymore. I'm glad he's back though. I enjoy his classes. This is the end of my post.

Day Eight

Questions: 1. Greco Roman Culture-  Mixing of elements of Greek, Hellenistic, and Roman culture to make a new culture. Pompeii- Roman town. Virgil-   He's a poet, who spent 10 years writing the most famous work of Latin literature. Tacitus- Roman historian, notable among ancient historians because he presented the facts accurately. Aqueducts- Helped bring water into cities and towns. 5. It developed an alphabet that was easy to use and could be transformed into other languages easy (The 5 romantic languages)

Day Six

America isn't declining like Rome today. I say this because America's economy is in no danger of collapsing, although it does need work. Another factor is that our military is still getting stronger. Another factor is that we're not in a social decline. Although, the generations of Americans seem to be getting lazier because of the advancing technology. Nowadays, we kids get everything handed to us on a silver platter and really don't earn much or strive to earn much. Of course, this is the majority of the nowadays. There are still kids who have to earn a lot. I feel like I'm a mix of the two. I get a lot, but I earn a lot too. This is the end of my post.

Day 6

Worksheet: Part A: 1.Inflation- A drastic drop in the value of money and a raise in price. 2. The Roman army was in disarray. 3. Diocletian tried to control the inflation rates and he doubled the size of the army. 4. Power moved east and away from Rome. The western Roman Empire survived, but the Eastern Roman Empire fell. 5. Constantinople/Byzantium 6. The first king of the Visigoths. Known for his sack of Rome in 410 A.D. which was an important event in the decline of the Western Roman Empire. 7. A chieftain of the Huns who led 100,00 soldiers into Rome and destroyed all of the Western Roman Empire. Attila and his soldiers destroyed 70 Roman cities and went on to destroy Constantinople but couldn't scale its walls to get in the city. Part B: The Roman army was in disarray. The hired mercenaries weren't loyal because of the little amount of money they were getting payed for fighting. This would make it hard for Rome to fend off its attackers which would lead t...

Computer is broken

My computer is with the I/T department because when I turn it on, the screen stays dark and displays nothing. I can't do blogs in class, but I can do them at home because we have a desktop at home. The only problem is I can't remember where to find your rap. So, I don't think I can do it. This is the end of my post
