First Day

Today is my first day of Western Civilization. My teacher is Mr. Schick. Mr. Schick has already explained most of the rule to us. Like how we can't play video games in class or we will get a detention. We will be learning about western European civilization. So things like Ancient Greece or the Roman Empire. We have a blog every day for the rest of the semester. If I'm not here I only have to say, "I wasn't her because..." and then we submit it. I'm looking forward to this class because I think the Ancient civilizations like Rome and Greece are fascinating because of the importance of them on modern culture. One thing I think he should do is assign a few presentations throughout the semester. The presentations don't have to be hard but should be on certain subjects. For an example, if we are in the subject of Greece, you could break it into several different parts like the philosophers or the wars (break the big subject into smaller subjects) and then assign one of those subjects to a group or pare of people.

This is the end of my first blog.

2-hour delay day

Today in Western Civilization we didn't really do much other than get a paper back and finish a worksheet we were supposed to finish because we had a 2-hour delay. So, I will also talk about some of my day after school. The worksheet we got back was homework and I got a 100% on it. Although, the homework was only 8 points. But a 100% is a 100%. We also finished a worksheet we did Tuesday where we were the judge of a case back in the time of Hammurabi's Code. Then, we found out what Hammurabi actually put as his punishment. A lot of them had to do with putting someone to death or cutting something off of their body like an ear or hand. We also took notes but we didn't have much time for that so I really didn't get anything down on paper. After school I had practice for baseball. First, we did a jog around both turf fields twice which I hated because I don't have good endurance. Other than that the team split into infield and outfield. I play in the infield. All w...

Work day

Today in Western Civ. we worked on our project/presentation. We're supposed to go third on Thursday, but I don't know if my partner and I are going to be completely ready. But who cares right? My partner and I are leaving early tomorrow at 1:45 because we have a baseball game @ Calvert Hall and the bus leaves a 2:00. 15 minutes is enough to time to get ready for a game twice. I'm really excited for two reasons especially, the fact that it's going to be our first away game, and my uncle that I haven't gotten to see since last August is coming to see me play. This is the end of my post today.
